I know mostly people post when they pass exam. But I just want to tell my experience with this exam. First, I took this exam just to give it a shot since I had a free voucher that expires at the end of Dec 31, 2006. So, I took the exam on Dec 27. But truly I was preparing a lot on the exam even though it is a free exam. Look at my blog here.

There are three sections on the exam that I wasn’t aware of. The first section is 70-528 (Web Based Client Development). For that I prepared using the tutorials from www.asp.net web site. I believe it is really enough if you see the video tutorials from that site. I scored around 900 for that section.

Then the second part is 70-536 (Application Development Foundation). For that I read a material “Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 – Application Development Foundation” It was pretty easy and I scored more than 900 on that too.

But the third exam was 70-547: PRO: (Designing and Developing Web-Based Application by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework). Honestly, I have no idea what to read on these exam and I never was aware of this exam. One hour is given to finish 33 questions and I was only able to finish half of the question. Anyway, I scored around 450 on this one.

The one thing I noticed is they don’t give average result on the exam. I think they will give the minimum of the three because my result is 441. Therefore, if you guys are planning to take this exam read more about the design section as well and to pass the exam you need to score above 700 on all three exams.

This is just to share my failure experience,

I would say 50 to 60 question for each three sections. I don’t really remember though.

Hi guys!
Just an update:
The exam is really tricky. I failed too with 548 point(needed 700).
The exam is/was 88 questions(28 from 70-528, 30 from 70-536 and 30 from 70-547).
For those who made MCAD this is twice harder.
Will try again next June 12th. Hope to do better this time.
